Ross...

Post the pictures on the L200 owners club facebook page (if you want to) then anyone with facebook access can see them without having to friend you, and it might get a bit more coverage.

I know how you feel mate,

I had my brand new Yamaha DT125R nicked from in front of my old flat, only had it 5 weeks.

I had it chained to railings using a piece of ships anchor chain & tamper proof padlock.

They must have used one hell of a size if bolt cutters.

Police said they have no chance in finding it.

I spent days going round the local kids haunts to see if I could find it.

Insurance replaced it 6 montha later.

Couldnt ride new bike due to an operation so I stored it in my wifes aunties lockup, Guess what fcukers broke in stole the bike an left the 10k of computer equipment on the shelfs at the back.

outcome

wife wont let me get another bike  Sad Sad Sad

I have had several bikes stolen and 2 x Honda VTR Firestorm, never to be seen again Suzuki DR 600 seat found on eBay which led me to a breaker that I had been to twice the week before, he told me that if any bike like mine came in he would give me a call. Basically the moral of my posting is don't trust bike breakers, keep an eye out on eBay for your parts as more than likely the bikes will be striped for parts, if they are taking more than one bike at a time they either have a market abroad or the bikes are being broken down for  parts and sold on eBay. Once I found the seat I told the police, the police went around and I got about ten items back, the breaker had sold most of the rest of the bike, I had just finished renovating the bike, it was booked in for an MOT the very next day before it was stolen, they cut the spokes out to get the chain off alarm ringing into the back of a white van and off it went. The two Firestorm's, I have no idea where they are, one of them got stolen while I was at an appointment in hospital, it was parked right outside the main entrance, nobody saw a thing and the camera's were down that day. If the pictures of your bikes are posted on the face book page I will ask as many people as I can as this is gut wrenching, kids bikes being nicked, I hope you get a result but to be honest, I think the odds are against it.
