2000, double cab 100,000 miles and still going

« on: 05 September, 2013, 20:23:40 PM »

There were a set of ASFIR plates stolen by a courior company in Glasgow 2 weeks ago, they were on there way to me and initially the company denied collecting, but after some very high definition CCTV in which the driver is clearly visible they have agred to collecting them but say they cannot find them.
They will pop up soon from the theiving sc*mbag who nicked them..
Please keep an eye out for them, They were for a classic L200.
Thanks,
Lez.

Their my plates Paul, and were collected from my mates garage by intercity, however the initially denied collecting them stating that they were " not ready for uplift"  thankfully my mate has an excellent CCTV system which captured the courier and his liveried intercity vehicle, no receipt was offered.

So in light of that the have accepted that they have been collected, but appear to have disappeared into the abyss thereafter, and have never been logged onto their system, which surely means that it would have been unable to leave the local depot for onward delivery, as such they should still be there, if they made it that far in the first place. Their position is that theyve been lost, however my position is that how can you loose something that you've never officially logged in your possession, and its gross negligence on the part of the courier, if not individual theft.

They are also quibbling on the value of replacements as I cannot produce a receipt for them, due to having bought them second hand some time ago, I have however got photos of the plates in my possession and prices for replacements from TBR and If I do not get satisfaction then its off to the small claims court, or the cops.

Contact police. It is theft if you have it on CCTV I would contact police them and go after driver. He has falsified official collection documents stating that nothing was collected. Otherwise it would be in their system. This is a bit late now but you always get a receipt with tracking number on it only proof you have sent it. Work for one of major couriers and have worked for a few others. So I now how I would send my own stuff with and who not to.
You have got a clear case against driver and and company. The driver has clearly lied and it has been covered up by somebody in office. Dont leave it. The longer you do the less chance you have or sorting it.

Good luck Paul

Well as if by magic, the threat of a criminal enquiry has made them magically re-appear and they have arrived at their destination this morning 2 weeks late, either way I'm pleased that they are safe and well Smiley
