Here are images of the new Headlight kits as supplied by bootsie:
For a better pic, click the pic, right click the image and then 'open picture in new window'

(I apologise for the slightly poor colour adjustment of these pics, i shoot in RAW and i converted these to JPEGs on the fly which has resulted in the orange tint!)

All the metal parts are of a very high build quality, made from cast and machined aluminium which has been anodised in matt silver for durability and the threaded connector for the heat sink also seems to be a copper rich alloy to provide a superior heat transfer!

If you could follow up with description please Bootsie that would be great Cheesy

just fitted the lamps easy job 15 mins for both simples that included tea between sides it was cold out side

will take pics later of how they compare,

also they work with the dim dip so all is good there,

the fans didnt come on I am guessing they are temperature controlled and they didnt get hot enough.

had to leave the rubber boot off the back of the headlamp because I figured the fan would not cool the lamps if I didnt

Impressed with them so far but the test will be later when it gets dark!

Pics to follow.

Nice one Lee, you could fit the rubber boots because the fans cool by conduction rather than blowing air, that's why back of bulb is copper, they are designed to go on safely but they are not needed as these lights and wiring/plugs are fully waterproof. Chickened out of doing mine again today when it started snowing, lol.

Drop bootsie a pm they are supplied by him, i'm not sure if he has any spares left!
He orders in bulk direct from the manufacturer when he gets enough orders in usually!

Its 1 pair of lights for a Classic, and 2 pairs for the new twin headlight shape!

When i get round to fitting them this weekend i will put up some HD photos before & after install so you can see the difference!
I'llll try and remember to shoot the pics in JPEG not RAW this time so that the colour doesn't get screwed up with converting the image this time!!!

I will be doing another order towards the end of the month. Chinese factories close for a week at end of next week for their New Year and they are busy processing large orders for now.
Will fix price when I put post up due to fluctuating currency exchanges at moment but will include postage, duty and postage to UK addresses.

I'm interested in 2 x H4 sets to replace the HIDs I have fitted to my Yamaha FJR 1300- don't want to fit them to the L200 as I very rarely go out at night in the truck over here in France.
Nothing wrong with the HIDs apart from not really having the room to fit all the ballasts, switching boxes and plugs/sockets on the bike.
Have got all that gubbins crammed into the storage cubby hole in the fairing which means I have lost that storage space.

Some questions-

Important -  How much longer is the bulb at the back with the fan unit over a standard H4 bulb?

What is the colour temperature quoted? the HIDs I have are 5000k I think which is just a standard white light.

The lights on the Yam are on all the time, can't be switched off, which is handy because it's law here to have lights on all the time on bikes- So what is the predicted life in hours?

Oh and what is the current draw-more or less than a standard H4 bulb?

If you don't want to put the answers on the forum pls PM me.

Thanks

i cant measure them now mate they are fitted i am sure Bootsie will answer ur questions though

they have a 3 year warenty so if they are on all the time it wont mattter

current draw is less that a normal h4 lamp i am sure probably by far

 Barnstormer
Bulb with fan fitted is 34mm longer
                   fan is 43mm diameter
                   Ballasts are50mm x 60mm x 14mm.
colour temperature is 6000 k which is nearest to daylight.
                   Lifetime is up to 50,000hrs
                   input hi 3amps, low2.8amps
                   output 36w per bulb

There are a new type being developed that don't use the cree chips and don't have fans or ballasts as they are built into the bulb - may be worth a search for the bike.

Yes they fit 07 new shapes and classics, all L200's that have H4 hi /lo bulbs. They also fit barbarians later new shapes etc that have twin lights , however they need 2 sets because they are H4B3 and H411 single filament bulbs. No alteration needed to wiring or plugs as they use original looms and are can-bus error free.
