Skyline to Strada to Strada

« on: 28 December, 2015, 16:03:28 PM »

Hi all,

Long time no problems with the Strada, but it's started making intermittent droning noises and some whining in the transmission, but I can't figure out where from exactly.

What could it be? I'm taking it to my local genius in the morning, just wondered if you'd any thoughts...

Many thanks,

George

That was going to be my answer. Change all the oils first

Propshaft centre bearing in a right state. All replaced now, oils checked, etc.
But there's still a minor droning noise, and I can't figure out where the _____ it's coming from. Almost like someone playing panpipes. Badly...

Perhaps check wheel bearings and CVs - before getting under a truck with the engine and wheels running ?
If you do end up under the truck - BE CAREFUL !
