Where will the Pheonix take us next?

« on: 03 January, 2016, 20:22:09 PM »

Anyone got any experience with either allforracing or racingpartsfactory on Ebay.  Both selling turbos for the 4D56 euro 3 engine at quite "cheap" prices.
At their prices, it's cheaper to buy a complete turbo with actuator etc... than to buy a turbine, and vane cartridge and all the bits to rebuild one.

Both are middlemen in the UK for companies in china, take a look at the contact details

But saying that i regularly import EGR valves from China and never had any issue with the quality of the valves

Yes, looked a bit deeper into the sellers details.  Both say they post from Coalsville, although one seller is based in Shang Hai.  Suspect one in the same seller.
Not so sure now, having reqad some (very small percentage) of the negative feed back.

Think i might look elsewhere, or DIY rebuild.

I have found a supplier (probably the same one in china) they are a pretty large manufacturer and have been in business for quite a few years. They make turbo's for new shapes
complete with actuators for 197 which includes air freight. They offer guarantee and give the same oem number as UK sellers.
Classic turbo's are 350 including actuator and postage.

I got mine from Fast Turbo in Corby after a recommendation from a mate in the trade. 280 for a recon unit with the old one in exchange and excellent service. For a deposit they'll give you 14 days to get the old turbo off and return it to them.

Think I might go with this, comes with a test and calibration certificate for 330, but they're listing for collection only!  Will email them about delivery.

Thanks Mark, a hybrid will come later for my truck.  But, at the moment, I'm rebuilding the engine etc... in Lyn's, and undecided at the mo to refit the old turbo, or just slap a new one on it.

2005 club cab 4work in black

« Reply #12 on: 17 February, 2016, 14:20:42 PM »

I've just got a exchange turbo from Turbo solutions ltd 427 all in with gaskets and delivery including collection of old unit

They are a ISO 6001 company this means there products have to match or exceed the quality of the OEM made part
so when buying things like turbos don't risk some cheap chinese copy unless the company has been awarded ISO 6001
because any company with the standard are also governed strictly and you can guarantee they will honour their warranty!

and if you have no luck with the company The ISO people will chase them for you!
