I am going to spray the chrome on my series 5 barabarian with Plasti Dip, has anyone taken the chrome bits off their truck, i am planning to do the rear light surriunds, the grille it has a sport back so want to take the chrome bit off that too to paint. the grille and lights i expect to be easy just wondered if anyone has removed the chrome from the sport back and if so how did you do it?  Hair dryier? if it goes well i may do the door mirrors too.....

The light surrounds are held on with a silicon type glue not tape can't see a hairdryer touching them, the tailgate and door handle inserts are held in with 3M VHB 5952 Adhesive Tape, absolute mare to remove off the truck.
