Hi I've just purchased a 2003 L200 4life. The engine was changed in 2017 to a 2006 4D56T one. I've cured a couple of oil leaks from the usual places, but there is a rust spot or old weld repair on the oil sump. It's leaking and needs removing and either a new one fitted or the old one repaired. I'm reasonably sure it can be done without removing too much. A quick question should anyone know. There is a strut running across the lower arms. Can this be removed as it would give me better access to the sump bolts? Would I need to support the suspension either side? Any help would be appreciated. Regards Paul
