Behind the wheel of a large automobile

I've spoken to Tony today and he seems a very knowledgeable and decent chap.
I'll be taking my truck there for it's 25k service in the new year. It sounds like this dealer is very sympathetic to those of us who use our trucks as intended  Wink
(and I need a closer look at that TWR suspension set-up...... Cool )

Shame it's a long way from Stee, really.  Cheesy

Hmmm....
'phoned the service dept. today for a price on my 25K service.
The chap I spoke to said it was 609.00  Shocked but he could discount it down to 565.00.
When I mentioned discount for Club members he said that was it. (he didn't know I was a club member prior to giving me the 'discounted' price)

So, every other dealer I've spoken to have quoted me about 560 ish WITHOUT any club discount!
609 minus 15% isn't 565!!

Looks like I won't now be going to Barnsley....... Roll Eyes

I have always used main dealers for all my cars (except the Impreza), my main dealer is actually very good and have been good to me in the past, but I know I should be able to get this service done cheaper elsewhere.
Thing is, my truck goes off-road a fair bit and my dealer is quite sympathetic to this and have always sorted warrenty work out without any question (so far!)
They also don't charge loads more than some independants around here.

Oh well, i have always wondered why people have used them in the first place when for warrenty purposes all the garage needs to be is V.A.T registered for it to be kosher.  Cool

I know what you mean, but knowing Mitsi and the way they sometimes will/won't do warrenty repairs, I'm playing it safe for the first 3 years!
