Good evening all,

I am hoping someone will have attempted to replace their stock gearbox with an upgraded one, and might be able to give some pointers, or at least tell me if I am wasting my time. I have a 54 plate L200, which has the 5 speed stock gearbox, and therefore gets terrible motorway mileage. Is it possible to upgrade the gearbox to a more recent six speed Mitsubishi L200 gearbox, which, with the better final ratio should result in improved miles per gallon?

Any advice, guidance, or comments would be greatly appreciated.
